The Write Way Newsletter
The newsletter accepts book & product reviews, member spotlights & success stories, writing tips, and WOK meeting write-ups. You can also pitch fresh ideas. See the submission guidelines here.
California Writers Club Literary Review
Writers of Kern’s parent organization, California Writers Club, publishes poems, stories, fiction, and nonfiction. You must be a member of either Writers of Kern or another branch of California Writers Club to qualify for publication in CWC’s Literary Review. See CWC’s Literary Review page for more information. Submissions are also accepted for the CWC Bulletin. Information on submissions to the Bulletin can be found here.
Fall Writing Contest
This annual writing contest is open in September to Writers of Kern members and awards three cash prizes. Entries are eligible for publication in the Writers of Kern Anthology.
